The Feniyaan Archives

The Feniyaan Archives is another series of contemporary fantasy novels set in the same fantasy universe (the Fenian Galaxy) as all my other series of novels.  Like the others, each novel can be read as a stand-alone story, or as part of the series.  Some of the characters will appear in more than one story.

The Third Cyaddom

Following the Battle of Milgramcyad, the Cyad Confederacy on Mondias has been left in a state of disarray and confusion.  The rebuilding process will be long and fraught with difficulties.

The figurehead leader of the Cyad, known as the Dvor, is missing, presumed dead.  Mordehkai Zhimski, an ambitious young security guard, yearns to become a hero.  Unable to rescue the absent Dvor, Mordehkai enacts a daring plan, inserting himself as the previous Dvor’s chosen successor.

His lack of leadership experience makes it hard to know who to trust or how to go about rebuilding the command structure and restoring peace.  Thus he is forced to rely on older and more experienced personnel who turn out to have their own agendas.

One way or another, the new version of the Cyad Confederacy must be rebuilt.  Find out how in this compelling account.

 

The Metgoer War

Unrest is growing amongst the adepts of Yttria.  For far too long, those with sorcery powers have been demonised, oppressed and marginalised.

Under the leadership of the ruthless and persuasive sorceress Jhendlum Metgo, an army of discontented sorcerers and sorceresses is preparing to take action against the Yttrian State and the Cyad Confederacy.

Other sorcerous factions, including the Vyrdigaan Order, the Sacred Circle of Chronomages and the Khmamfrodans, oppose the idea of direct action, believing it will make life worse for adepts and upset the delicate balance of power within the Fenian Galaxy.

In the process of pursuing her misguided agenda, Jhendlum’s growing desire for power and control brings her into conflict with these other factions.  A series of violent battles ensues.  Many lives are lost.  Innocents become coerced and corrupted.

The issues become occluded as the hostilities escalate.  People begin to question their beliefs.  Trust dwindles.  Loyalties become divided.  The non-aggressive and non-partisan factions no longer have the luxury of remaining behind the scenes.  Dragged into a situation not of their making, they need to find a way to resolve all the issues and bring an end to the battles.
