Name: Tilyn Menachem Origin: Losinthan  Tilyn Menachem was born on the frozen isolationist world of Losintho. She has the typical reticent demeanour of most Losinthans, albeit with a rebellious streak. She worked with her father, the renowned scientist Henryk Menachem, as his laboratory assistant. Her disapproval of his apparent collaboration with the Cyad Confederacy led her to run away. She went to Varathusia to seek sanctuary among the Carpathians. After an initial troubled experience with them, she was welcomed into the Menehari family. She formed a close connection with Lord Lorenzo Menehari-Cesario, which led to them marrying.

Name: Gildah Shaughnessey Origin: Virian  Gildah Shaughnessey, daughter of Barbara Shaughnessey, is a tough streetwise Virian.  She is feisty and fiercely independent. She enjoys sports and other outdoor activities.  She cultivates an androgynous appearance and disdains anything overtly feminine.  She is Sapphic by nature but doesn't always choose her friendships and intimate relationships wisely.  Her best friend is Lady Suriah Cesario.  Later, she gets recruited as a street spy by Suriah's relatives.  

Name: Lady Mandina Ingrao Origin: Carpathian  Lady Mandina Ingrao is the wife of Lord Felix Ingrao.  She is a traditional Carpathian woman with strong views and rigid abstemious habits.  She often disapproves of her husband's hedonistic ways, which brings them into conflict.  She dislikes socialising outside her usual circle of business associates and friends. She does not adapt well to change.  

Older Version of Lord Aurelio Ingrao Younger Version of Lord Aurelio Ingrao Name: Lord Aurelio Ingrao Origin: Carpathian  Lord Aurelio Ingrao is the eldest son of Lord Ignacio and Lady Shahina Ingrao.  He has a placid demeanour.  He is quiet and reticent in his ways most of the time.  As a younger man, he looks after his siblings and tries to help them whenever possible.  As an older man, he is dedicated to his wife and other members of the extended family.  He runs the family business in a calm and competent manner.  

Name: Lord Felix Ingrao Origin: Carpathian  Lord Felix Ingrao is the son of Lord Aurelio Ingrao and Lady Dhamarys Ingrao (formerly Dhamarys Vento).  He is married to Lady Mandina.  He is an extrovert who loves socialising and entertaining.  He can be rather flirtatious with the women, although he is never unfaithful to his oft-complaining wife.  His ebullient personality can become annoying at times.  Overall he is a dedicated family man and runs his businesses in a fair and competent manner.

  Name: Lady Violetta Ingrao Origin: Carpathian  Lady Violetta Ingrao is the younger daughter of Lord Felix and Lady Mandina Ingrao. She is forthright in expressing her opinions. She can demonstrate a cruel and spiteful streak at times. She enjoys fashions, socialising and acting. She has a fervent interest in high performance vehicles. She can be friendly but is very choosy with her friendships.

  Name: Lady Rinalda Ingrao Origin: Carpathian  Lady Rinalda Ingrao is the older daughter of Lord Felix and Lady Mandina Ingrao. She has a quiet and calm demeanour. She enjoys socialising and shopping with her friends and watching old romance movies. She is a little shy when meeting new people. She is often reticent but can be more forceful at times.

Name: Kereen Donnelly   Origin: Virian Gypsy  Traditional Virian gypsy Kereen Donnelly joined the Order of Scherza to train as a priestess because she wanted to escape various family obligations. She found herself unsuited to Temple life. The Carpathian/Vyrdigaan alliance recruited her as one of their agents and she embarked on a career path which she enjoys. She has good survival skills and is an expert martial arts practitioner. She met fellow gypsy Degmard Verkhauten while carrying out a mission. The two got on well together and ended up marrying.    

Name: Degmard Verkhauten Origin: Virian Gypsy  Traditional Virian gypsy warrior Degmard Verkhauten was married to Felinah and is the father of Mary Verkhauten. He keeps to the old ways, travelling around the countryside in his campervan, stopping at campsites. He takes on temporary casual work to pay for his lifestyle. He has a gruff, no-nonsense manner. He is wary and suspicious of settled folk and doesn't mix well with them. He became friends with Darien and Levene Shanahan after they helped Mary through a troubled time. He was widowed and travelled alone for many years, until he met and married fellow gypsy Kereen Donnelly.  

Pre-teen Kyara standing in a slum district street Teenage Lady Kyara Stronnoli-Nentofore standing in a city street Name: Kyara (later became Lady Kyara Stronnoli-Nentofore) Origin: Varah  Kyara grew up on the streets as a Par-Varah, begging and stealing to earn a living.  Possessed of natural intelligence along with a confident streetwise attitude, she strives to make a better life for herself.  After meeting and becoming friends with Lady Luisa Nentofore, she is taken in as a member of the family.  She begins a formal education with Luisa helping her.  Later she gets adopted by former convict Motilio Stronnoli.  Both of them work as street spies for the vast Nentofore spy network.  

Name: Vanessa Cadogan Origin: Virian Gypsy  Virian sorceress and prostitute Vanessa Cadogan is the daughter of sorceress Dorota Cadogan and the mother of sorceress Ursula Cadogan.  She is sly and devious.  She often pretends to be helpless to gain sympathy and to trick people.  Her powers are only moderate but she uses them to good advantage.  She has taught her devious ways to Ursula.  

Name: Eileen Halloran Origin: Virian    Virian widow Eileen Halloran is mother to four sons — Manus, Fergal, Declan and Josiah.  Beneath her grumpy, feisty exterior, she is a kind, generous and caring soul.  Despite her obvious complaints and criticisms about the mess her sons make and the trouble they get into, she enjoys family life and running her household.  She is set in her ways and doesn't adapt well to change.  

Pre-teen version of Lady Luisa Nentofore in one of her grandmother's orchards Teenage version of Lady Luisa Nentofore in one of her grandmother's orchards Name: Lady Luisa Nentofore Origin: Carpathian  Lady Luisa Nentofore is one of Lady Galea Nentofore's many grandchildren.  She is playful, friendly and adventurous.  She loves climbing trees, swimming and martial arts.  She also enjoys learning how to become a Carpathian operative.  In that regard, she displays the typical Carpathian ambition and determination.  Espionage skills come easily to her.  She can be reckless and thoughtless at times, but overall she tries to be helpful and kind.  

Name: Ravello Ponti Origin: Varah  Ravello Ponti started his career as a librarian.  It didn't pay well, so he tried to make a living from being a tattoo artist, supplemented by carrying out bank frauds.  His criminal activities landed him in prison several times.  He has a quiet studious nature and he loves creating body art. He became known as the best tattoo artist in Mynarth Penitentiary.  He takes great interest in the arts, especially painting and drawing.  He is thin and not physically strong. He avoids conflict whenever possible.

Name: Motilio Ermgardio Stronnoli Origin: Varah  Motilio Ermgardio Stronnoli (AKA Stronno and Strongman) is a Varathusian career criminal.  He has served many prison sentences.  He is physically and mentally tough.  He is skilled at martial arts and loves getting into brawls with fellow criminals and prisoners. Most of the time he is gruff and aggressive.  He has a soft-hearted side which he rarely shows.  

Name: Enzelym Rohrvald Origin: Malvanian  Enzelym Rohrvald is a Malvanian sorcerer with a dubious past.  He left his home enclave in search of adventure.  He worked for various Carpathians and got himself in trouble.  Falsely accused of murder, he ended up serving a twenty year sentence in Mynarth Penitentiary, Central Varathusia.  He has the typical quiet contemplative Malvanian temperament, along with a self-deprecating sense of humour.  He is open to making new friendships and he tries to help people whenever possible.
