Name: Lord Ignacio Ingrao

Origin: Varathusian, later became Carpathian

Appearance: Tall and skeletally thin.  Paler skin than most Carpathians.  Silvery grey shoulder-length hair which has a tendency to stick out at crazy angles.  He favours bright clashing colours and will sometimes wear women’s dresses.  Elderly, probably in late seventies or early eighties.

Personality: Loud and brazen, can come over as obnoxious at times.  Loves telling scandalous anecdotes and dirty jokes.  He is also very generous and accepting of people’s quirks.  Believes in treating people equally and giving everyone a chance.

Family: In his grandfather’s time, they were ordinary Varahs, but his grandfather insinuated himself into a Carpathian family and became Carpathian.  Ignacio has a wife and several children, now adults with their own families.  Not a large family by Carpathian standards but their links with outsiders make them a formidable force.

Strengths: Devious mind, expert political game-player.  Good at reading people.  Extensive knowledge of poisons and intoxicating substances.  Deadly aim.  His weapons of choice are small daggers and shurikens, usually coated with poison.

Weaknesses: Not physically strong.  Over-indulges in recreational drugs.  Elderly and not in the best of health.

Likes: Going to the opera, putting on lavish entertainments for family and friends, dressing in women’s clothing, outrageous behaviour, especially when he knows people are watching him.  Enjoys being the centre of attention.

Dislikes: Snobbery and prejudice, bullying, anyone who harms those dear to him.
