Order of Lilith

Although Lilith is not widely worshipped, she has dominion over all underground spaces within the Fenian Galaxy, whether natural or artificially constructed.  Her temples are all built underground.  Some are adapted from natural cave systems and others are hollowed out by a combination of sorcery and mechanical means.

Members of this Order wear a wide black horizontal stripe of indelible ink across their faces.  Starting from the sides of their heads, it covers the entire eye area from eyebrows to beneath the eyes and extends across the bridge of the nose.  Unlike a tattoo, the black ink is permanently infused into their skin by means of sorcery.  Their lips are also coloured black by the same process.  Most of the time they keep their faces covered by layers of black gauze veils.  Like many religious and sorcerous orders, they wear black silk robes.

 

They spend most of their lives in total darkness, meditating, praying and practising their arts.  They learn a specialised type of personal alchemy which enables them to become shadows and harness the power of shadows.  They can manipulate shadows and use them as extensions of their own bodies.  The most skilled priests and priestesses can turn shadows into weapons.

 

 

 

 

She manifests in pure shadow form, appearing smoky and insubstantial, yet wielding immense power. Her shadows can cut like the sharpest blades or tickle like a feather, depending on the situation.
